Be Aware of Horse Scams
Remember the Saying "If its sounds to good to be true, it probably is"
A common scam right now is a Cashiers Check that is counter fit. Sometimes larger then the price
of the horse and they may even ask you to refund the difference. Often the people making the
purchase is for a client or third party. The scams can include bad English and mis-spellings and
aren't always specific about what they are inquiring about.
Here are a few scam e-mails that I have had sent to me requesting info about my horses:
"Do still have this advert Sale.....let me know its present condition if you still have it for sale ok....
I look forward to read back from you soon.
Thank's."
"Greeting to you There,
My name Is _______,I saw your advert list for sale,i want to know the present condition of the
advert and i want you to get back to me with some closer looking pics of it,I look forward to hear
from you soon,Thank's"
"Message regarding _____________:
Good Day, I am Anna Escobedo Cabral the Treasurer of Office of the U.S. Treasurer,i am located
in San Bernardino California,i am Mexican-American,i was born 1959 in San Bernardino.I saw
your advertise horse for sale on ________,i will like to buy the horse for one of my children
Raquel on is birthday which is coming up this April and i will like to purchase the horse before
then,I am a very busy woman and my husband Victor G. Cabral (a Senior Counsel for NBC
Universal, in the Government Relations department) Raquel love horses and i want to make this
upcoming birthday the best of the best of the best of all cos Raquel will be surprise. I will like to
know your final asking price for the horse------ I will like to see some more pictures of the
horse--------- I will like to know if the horse is healthy without any disease-- I will like to see the
coggin test and health certificate----- Pls note that i will be making payment will the best and
secure payment from my finance department in Washington, D.C and i will be making payment
soonest so i can get the horse paid for.i will like you to keep this confidential and save because i
don't want the news going about stating i am purchasing a horse.Shipping will be handle for me
by LOID SHIPPING SERVICES shipping agency.Pls note that the payment will be made out too
you overnight and the payment will include the shipper pick up fee and as soon as you get the
payment i will email you instructions about the shipper.I cant wait to meet the horse soon.you can
leave me a voice message on 775-667-5801 pls note i cant pick calls so i prefer email. Best
